Increase in new school studies

While we hear so much today about the closure and loss of our Catholic schools across the country, we should be excited that there is also new life and growth!  There is a growing demand and enthusiasm for new Catholic schools in areas of the country where the Catholic population is growing.  A number of dioceses in recent years have not only embraced the vision of new or expanded Catholic elementary and high schools, they have actually moved forward in opening new doors. In 2009-10 alone, 24 new schools opened.

The opportunity to envision, plan and ultimately open new or expanded Catholic schools depends on leaders who value comprehensive, high quality data research and analysis to assess the enrollment potential and finances necessary to begin and sustain a new school.  It is the attention and detail paid to this data analysis that leads to the successful assessment of potential enrollment.

To support the vision of new Catholic schools, Meitler Consultants has partnered with eleven dioceses in recent years to lead comprehensive feasibility studies with detailed data analysis and market research.  Of the eleven dioceses, two have initiated their new schools:
