Increase
in new school studies
While we hear so much today
about the closure and loss of our Catholic schools across the
country, we should be excited that there is also new life and
growth! There is a growing demand and enthusiasm for new
Catholic schools in areas of the country where the Catholic
population is growing. A number of dioceses in recent
years have not only embraced the vision of new or expanded
Catholic elementary and high schools, they have actually moved
forward in opening new doors. In 2009-10 alone, 24 new schools
opened.
The opportunity to envision, plan and ultimately open new or
expanded Catholic schools depends on leaders who value
comprehensive, high quality data research and analysis to assess
the enrollment potential and finances necessary to begin and
sustain a new school. It is the attention and detail paid
to this data analysis that leads to the successful assessment of
potential enrollment.
To support the vision of new
Catholic schools, Meitler Consultants has partnered with eleven
dioceses in recent years to lead comprehensive feasibility
studies with detailed data analysis and market research.
